UM student saw cat being mauled by dogs, say cops

KUALA LUMPUR: Another cat has been killed on Universiti Malaya grounds, this time by a pack of dogs, say police.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said a witness saw the cat being mauled by a pack of dogs.

"A female student and her friends saw several dogs attacking a cat at a parking area at about 1.30am on Saturday (Jan 4).

"They managed to chase the dogs away but when they approached the cat, it was already dead," he said on Saturday (Jan 4).

He said the student buried the cat and lodged a police report, which was then referred to the university and Kuala Lumpur City Hall.

He said the police would not be investigating this particular feline death.
