Fahmi Reza headed to police station, says he will not answer questions

KOTA KINABALU: Artist Fahmi Reza says he is headed to a police station here following reports that have been lodged against him for sedition, among other matters.

In a post on X at 4.59pm on Monday (Dec 30), Fahmi said he was on his way to the police station about an illustration of his, which has since been turned into a mural.

In another post, Fahmi said he would be probed under the Sedition Act and the Communications and Multimedia Act.

Fahmi also said he would exercise his right under Section 112 of the Criminal Procedure Code not to answer any questions saying that his statement could be used to incriminate him.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun had earlier said that police were searching for Fahmi to facilitate a probe under the Sedition Act.

He said that there were more than 30 police reports lodged against the controversial artist.
