KUANTAN: The husband of model and actress Zahnita Wilson is set to be charged in the Kuantan Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
According to Sinar Harian, the matter was confirmed by Kuantan OCPD Asst Comm Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu on Wednesday (Dec 5).
He said that the suspect would be charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code read together with Section 326A of the Penal Code for causing injury.
"Additionally, the suspect will also face an additional charge related to testing positive for drug use," he said.
On Tuesday, Magistrate Tengku Eliana Tuan Kamaruzaman issued a three-day remand order, from Tuesday to Thursday, against Zahnita's husband.
The suspect arrived at the Kuantan Court Complex at approximately 8:30am, and the remand process was completed within half an hour.
This remand action follows Zahnita Wilson's revelation of being a victim of domestic violence, as she shared an image on Instagram showing her bruised eye.
The disclosure has drawn significant attention and sympathy from the public, including fans and fellow artistes.
