All schools in Selangor to close Friday

PETALING JAYA: All schools and institutions under the Education Ministry in Selangor will close on Friday (Oct 9) due to the worsening haze situation.

Selangor Education director Datin Wan Nor Ashikin Abu Kassim said schools must implement teaching and learning from home (PdPR) to ensure the continuity of student learning.

"Parents and guardians are requested to follow updates and official announcements from the Selangor Education Department, particularly regarding the reopening dates for schools and educational institutions," she said in a statement on Thursday (Oct 8).
