The nomination of candidates for the leadership of all four wings (Women, Youth, Putera and Puteri) of the Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) at the national level for the 2024 - 2027 term took place recently.

Putera MIC is one of the main wings of MIC, consisting of youths aged 18 to 30. Since its establishment, Putera MIC has focused on youth development and programmes oriented towards higher education.

Dr Shatesh shared that the new leadership of Putera MIC will emphasis on the agenda of empowerment and capacity building for the Indian community youth.

Through this agenda, three initiatives will be highlighted by this wing: the MIC Political School, the UNDI18 Campaign, and MIC Siswa.

He is confident that all these efforts and initiatives can attract the support of young people, especially new voters, to the MIC party. All these initiatives will serve as open platforms to discuss the aspirations of the target group of Putera MIC.
