KKB by-election: Muda, PSM to sit out May 11 polls

PETALING JAYA: Muda and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) will be sitting out the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election on May 11.

Muda acting chief Amira Aisya Abd Aziz announced this on Friday (April 26), saying that this was to let voters decide on the unity government’s performance so far.

“The by-election is another referendum for the people's mandate for the unity government or the Opposition," she said on X (formerly Twitter).

She said the two parties would instead use the two-week campaign period to launch campaigns for bread and butter issues like the high cost of living and housing issues faced by lower-income groups.
