Student groups want say in varsity decision-making


Seat at the table: Student groups want stronger rights, greater autonomy and formal representation in university decision-making under the proposed replacement for Auku.

PETALING JAYA: Students should not only be free to speak on campus but should also have a say in university decision-­making, say student groups.

Such stronger safeguards for student rights and autonomy should be incorporated in the new law set to replace the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 (Auku), they said.
