SINGER Kaka Azraff has chosen to be open about her life’s trials – including her divorce – to inspire other women, saying she no longer wants to hide her feelings, Kosmo! reported.
Kaka, born Nor Atiqa Noor Azraff, 36, said sharing her journey is meant to empower women navigating similar hardships.
“As a woman who has survived many chapters, including divorce, there is nothing wrong with sharing my story. I am not the only one who has gone through such experiences, and I have a platform to speak,” she said.
The singer hopes her voice reminds single mothers that they are not alone in their struggles.
“If my experience offers even a bit of encouragement to help them rebuild and rise again, that is enough,” she added.
Kaka married Adam Azriff on Dec 14, 2018. They divorced on June 4 this year and share three children.
> A six-member household in Kuala Lumpur, comprising a husband and wife and four children, needs to spend RM9,610 a month to maintain a decent standard of living, reported Utusan Malaysia.
The figure is based on calculations using the Decent Living Basic Expenditure (MyPAWK) calculator developed systematically by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM).
Using the same calculation, a single person living in Kuala Lumpur requires RM2,403 a month in basic expenses for a decent standard of living.
But a family living in a rural area such as Besut, Terengganu, can maintain a decent standard of living with basic monthly expenses of RM4,956.
The cost is even lower for a single person living in a rural area such as Jeli, Kelantan, where the estimated monthly basic expenditure for a decent standard of living is RM1,019.
DOSM told Utusan Malaysia that the development of MyPAWK began in 2018, and the calculator was introduced in 2024.
It takes into account household spending patterns based on data from the Household Expenditure and Income Survey.
