Responsibility in autonomy


PETALING JAYA: The proposed new law to govern tertiary education institutes must clearly define autonomy, academic freedom, student rights, governance and accountability, say academics.

Students should also be given greater space to express their views, offer fact-based criticism and take part in social activities and national development, they said.
