Body of Nepalese man found in Klang River in Shah Alam


SHAH ALAM: The body of a Nepalese man was discovered in the Klang River near Seksyen 17, here.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the body was discovered by the public at about 11.56am on Saturday (March 16).

"The body was discovered lying face down in the water. We managed to identify the victim based on his passport," he said in a statement on Sunday (March 17).

ACP Mohd Iqbal said that a preliminary forensic inspection of the body did not discover any injuries or signs of foul play, he said.

"The body has been sent to Hospital Shah Alam for the post-mortem. We are classifying the case as a sudden death report (SDR). Anyone with information on the case should call investigating officer Insp Mohd Shahrul Bakhri at 012-3630512," he said.
