Teenage girl missing since April 24 found safe in Jeram


KUALA LUMPUR: A 15-year-old girl, who was reported missing from her home in Sri Malaysia People’s Housing Project, Desa Petaling, since Friday (April 24), has been found safe in Jeram, Selangor.

Cheras district police chief ACP Mohd Rosdi Daud said the girl was found at about 9.15am in a residence in Kampung Bukit Kuching Tengah.

A local discovered her when she came to their house to charge her mobile phone.

“Acting on information they garnered via social media, the resident immediately contacted the girl’s family members and the police.

“She has been taken to the Cheras district police headquarters for documentation and further checks before being handed over to her family,” he said in a statement on Monday (April 27).

He also conveyed his appreciation to the public for their cooperation and concern. – Bernama
