Lim Sian See accepts Rafizi's 'Yang Bakar Menteri' podcast invite

KUALA LUMPUR: Political observer Lim Sian See has stepped up in response to a Facebook post by Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli regarding him on his “Yang Bakar Menteri” podcast.

"It's a date! Onzzz. Hope one of the 22 admins of Rafizi can message me through Facebook for preparation and further steps," said Lim.

"I request a separate session from the other two friends so that it can be a one on one session with him (Rafizi) because there are many things to ask," he added in a post on Facebook on Monday (Feb 19).

Lim was responding to the Economy Minister's willingness to have Lim and individuals such as former Umno supreme council member Isham Jalil who had volunteered to face him (Rafizi) on the podcast.

Rafizi said he had no problem.

"In my career, I have taken part in various debates, forums and others. I even challenged Datuk Seri Najib Razak to a debate before the last general election," said Rafizi.

"Now, characters such as Isham, Lim and (Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Dr) Puad Zakarshi have become 'ayam tambatan' (key players) for Perikatan Nasional because they often attack me (and the government)," he said earlier on Monday in a post on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

Lim said it will be in March as Rafizi said he needs a two-week recovery period after he had back surgery.
