Two senior military officers probed for outraging modesty of female caddie

MELAKA: Two senior military officers are under investigation over a police report made by a 21-year-old female caddie at a golf club in Alor Gajah claiming her modesty was outraged, says Melaka's top cop.

State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Zainol Samah said an investigation paper has been opened under Section 354 of the Penal Code.

He said both the officers, aged 52 and 51, respectively, are based at an army camp in Negri Sembilan.

He said the police report was lodged by the woman on Oct 5 and the officers were summoned to give their statements on the next day.

DCP Zainol said a 35-year-old co-worker of the woman also lodged a police report alleging that she had not witnessed the incident.

"The two officers had also lodged reports denying the claim made by the woman," he said on Monday(Oct 9).

DCP Zainol said the probe is ongoing and the outcome will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor.
