Traffic jam on NSE after trailer falls in middle of the road

IPOH: A trailer carrying oil palm fruits fell in the middle of a road and blocked the lane heading south at KM183 of the North-South Expressway.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri, who was at the scene, said there were no injuries.

“The trailer fell to the side after the Bandar Baharu toll gate. Road users heading to the south are advised to exit the toll gate and take the Alor Pongsu toll to continue their journey.

“It is also raining heavily and the incident is causing a massive traffic jam,” he said in a statement Tuesday (Aug 8).
