PAS MP under fire for quoting Nazis on Twitter

PETALING JAYA: PAS’ Dr Halimah Ali (pic) has come under criticism for retweeting a quote linked with Nazis.

The Kapar MP tweeted a supposed quote on propaganda by Adolf Hitler on July 20.

“If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed,” read the quote along with a Hitler picture in the background.

Dr Halimah was slammed by Malaysians on Twitter over her posting, which have since garnered over 75,000 views.

Malaysians appeared unamused towards her posting.

“Are you worshipping a leader who has killed millions?” questioned Pawanakacak.

“Are you proud that you’re quoting Hitler? This is scary, to be honest,” said Noreen Nadia.

The quote is popularly linked with Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels.

However, historians have noted in news reports that there is no actual evidence linking Goebbels with the quote.
