Batang Kali landslide: Cops take statements from campsite operator and two workers


HULU SELANGOR: Police have recorded the statements of three people, including the Father's Organic Farm campsite operator, in connection with Friday's (Dec 16) landslide at Batang Kali.

Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Suffian Abdullah (pic) said the three were questioned at the district police headquarters on Saturday (Dec 17).

"The three are the operator in his 50s and two workers in their 20s.

"We do not rule out the possibility of calling other individuals to help with the investigation," he told reporters at the scene on Sunday (Dec 18).

Meanwhile, police urged relatives, family members or friends of the victims involved to come to Hospital Sungai Buloh to identify the bodies.

Six bodies were still unclaimed as of noon on Sunday.

"Our emphasis is on getting the next of kin, family or friends to go to the hospital for identification of remains.

"A special team is also at the hospital for documentation and other matters," Supt Suffian said.
