11 saved from house fire in Batang Kali


PETALING JAYA: Eleven people, including a girl with disabilities, were evacuated from a burning house on Saturday (March 28) night.

The house was almost completely destroyed, according to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.

Its assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said when contacted on Sunday (March 29) that the house was in Kampung Pasir Ulu Yam Baru in the Batang Kali sub-district.

He said the department responded to an emergency call at 11.42pm.

"The fire destroyed around 80% of the home.

"It did not involve any victims," he added.
