GE15: Perikatan can wrest parliament seats in Pahang from BN and Pakatan, says Saifuddin

KUANTAN: After 12 days of campaigning, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah says Perikatan Nasional can nab two more parliamentary seats and at least eight more state seats in Pahang.

"To use a football term, we are done with the first half of the game," the Pahang Perikatan chairman said here on Monday (Nov 14).

He added that Perikatan should be able to win one parliamentary seat from Pakatan Harapan and one seat from Barisan Nasional as well as 16 state seats, double the eight it previously held.

Saifuddin, who is also incumbent Indera Mahkota MP, said that through its national and state manifestos, Perikatan was addressing what the people really want.

He said voters have "clearly assessed the current situation" in Pahang and are thinking about what they want for their future.

"From my interaction with the people, they want two things. First, they are tired of dirty politics, corruption and abuse of power.

"Their other concern is their livelihood and the economy. More jobs, economic growth and so on – which is exactly our focus," said Saifuddin.

After he left PKR, Saifuddin's Indera Mahkota parliamentary seat came to Perikatan's hands while the coalition's partner PAS held eight state seats before the dissolution of the Pahang Legislative Assembly.
