SEREMBAN: Gerakan Tanah Air (GTA) will contest all eight parliamentary seats in Negri Sembilan in GE15 with former inspector-general of police Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador (pic) among the prominent names to be fielded.
Being a local boy, the former top cop is likely to be fielded in Rembau, a Barisan Nasional stronghold.
State GTA chief Zamani Ibrahim said the coalition has shortlisted 20 potential candidates.

"We will be able to choose from a list of names of individuals who I must say are credible.
"All parties and non-governmental organisations under GTA have already submitted names and we will peruse these before a decision is made," he said here on Monday (Oct 17).
Former National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) chief executive officer Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri is likely to be fielded in Port Dickson.
Ahmad Idham, who is also an actor and director, had said earlier that he had no qualms about taking on heavyweights in the constituency in the coming polls.

"Some have asked me whether I am willing to take on the PKR president (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) or Pakatan Harapan's Mentri Besar (Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun).
"I told them I have nothing to lose because I will be the underdog," he told The Star recently.
Before this, state GTA deputy chief Mohamad Jani Ismail had said Abdul Hamid would most probably be fielded in Rembau as he was from there.

GTA consists of four political parties, namely Pejuang, Putra, the National Indian Muslim Alliance Party (Iman) and Parti Barisan Jemaah Islamiah Se-Malaysia (Berjasa).
It was set up by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in August, and also includes non-governmental organisations (NGOs), academicians and individuals.
The coalition intends to contest over 120 seats in the coming polls under the Pejuang banner, with the exception of Kelantan and Terengganu.
