KUALA LUMPUR: The Crackhouse Comedy Club at Taman Tun Dr Ismail was found splashed with red and black paint early Tuesday (July 19) morning.
City police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said when contacted that a police report had been lodged over the matter.
"I can confirm that a police report has been lodged and we will investigate.
"We urge the public to refrain from taking matters into their own hands and let cooler heads prevail," he said.

It was learnt that police were alerted by members of the public at around 7am.
The signboard and front door of the premises had been splashed with red and black paint. The paint also hit the adjacent premises.
The comedy club has been at the centre of attention after a 54-second video circulated on social media showing a woman claiming to have memorised 15 juz of the Quran and then discarding her tudung and baju kurung, leaving her in a low-cut top and short skirt.
On July 10, DBKL announced the suspension of the comedy club pending investigations of the premises' licence.

Many had defended Crackhouse, saying that the suspension was a heavy-handed approach.
Merdekarya, a popular live music venue here known for open mic nights, came out in support of the Crackhouse Comedy Club saying its suspension by the authorities was wrong.
It also claimed the controversial woman and her partner had once caused trouble for Merdekarya as well, initially having arguments with customers and staff, which eventually spiralled to death threats.
On Wednesday (July 13), Nuramira pleaded not guilty to a charge of insulting Islam.
Her boyfriend V. Alexander Navin pleaded not guilty to two counts under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for misusing network facilities.
