Manager of GLC among four nabbed by MACC in RM300mil graft case

PUTRAJAYA: Four people have been arrested, believed to have been working hand in glove to make false claims worth more than RM300mil for a development project.

One of them is a manager with a government-link property company.

Three others are a managing director, a project manager and an architect of a contract and architect firm.

It is learnt that three of them were arrested at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office in Terengganu while the other one was arrested at his home in Kuala Lumpur.

They were between 28 and 48 years old and all arrests were made on Thursday (June 16).

They are now under a six-day remand after magistrate Noor Mazrinie Mahmood allowed the MACC’s application, which was submitted on Friday (June 17).

MACC senior director of investigations Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Hashim confirmed the arrests.
