AMPANG: The second victim of the landslide at Taman Bukit Permai here has been recovered.
It is learnt that the second victim - a 85-year-old woman - is the wife of the first victim who was rescued earlier at 6.54pm Thursday (March 10).
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the victim was found at 7.53pm.
"Fire and Rescue Department personnel managed to pull the body of the woman from the rubble at about 9.10pm.
"The victim lived in the second house near the landslide.
"Rescuers managed to recover the victim and she was pronounced dead by medical officers," he said when met at the scene.
ACP Mohamad Farouk said efforts to rescue three other victims, including an Air Selangor staff member, are still ongoing.
"We also advised nearby residents here to evacuate to the Tamah Megah temporary relief centre (PPS) as a safety precaution.
"While there is no soil movement so far, we fear that it will change if it rains," he said.
