Karak Water Treatment Plant operational by Friday (Dec 24) night, says Paip

KUANTAN: The Karak Water Treatment Plant (LRA) which had to be shut down since last Saturday (Dec 18) due to floods, is scheduled to be back in operation on Friday (Dec 24) night, says Pengurusan Air Pahang Bhd (Paip) chief executive officer Saiful Zaini Mohd Bokhari.

He said 3,857 consumers were affected following the closure of the LRA, which was caused by damage to the mechanical and electrical equipment due to rising river water levels, in addition to issues such as broken main pipes and power outages.
