Fully-vaccinated Johor exco member tests positive for Covid-19

JOHOR BARU: State executive councillor Mohd Solihan Badri has tested positive for Covid-19.

The Johor public works, infrastructure and transportation committee chairman tested positive for Covid-19 on July 31 after undergoing a swab test.

"He is not experiencing any serious symptoms and is in good health," read a statement from the state executive councillor's office.

It added that Solihan, who is also Johor Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia secretary, had received his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on March 22.

"He is suspected to be a close contact of Bersatu members in Tangkak on July 22.

"Those who were in close contact with him have been told to take a swab test," it said, adding that Solihan is in quarantine until Aug 9.

When contacted, Solihan confirmed that he has Covid-19.

It was learnt that all state executive councillors have also been told to take a swab test.
