Country’s death toll reaches 5,000 mark

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia’s Covid-19 death toll has reached the 5,000 mark, after 57 more people succumbed to the coronavirus in the last 24-hour span.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said to date, Covid-19 had claimed 5,001 lives in Malaysia since the pandemic began.
