Mara vows zero tolerance after MRSM bullying claims

PETALING JAYA: There will be no compromise on bullying at Mara Junior Science Colleges (MRSM), says Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.

The Mara chairman, responding to allegations in a social media post, issued a stern warning.

“Which MRSM is this? Give me the details.

“There is no compromise with bullying like this. You touch, you go,” he said, in remarks reported by Sinar Harian on Friday (April 24).

He stressed Mara’s zero-tolerance stance on any form of bullying in institutions under its supervision.

The allegations surfaced in a Threads post by user @aynashfqh, who claimed her sibling, a Form One student, had been bullied for four months.

She alleged that the bullying resulted in damaged school uniforms and other belongings, with items such as books and shoes also vandalised.

The student is said to be experiencing emotional distress but still wishes to continue studying at the school.

The family has met the school counsellor and was told the case is under investigation, although the harassment is alleged to be ongoing.

“We had no intention of making this go viral, but we hope the relevant parties can help resolve this case,” she said.
