Film ruse leads to boyfriend’s fiery death

A WOMAN in Bengaluru, India, has been arrested for allegedly tying up her boyfriend and burning him to death after he reportedly began ignoring her.

The suspect, identified as Prema, had been in a relationship with her boyfriend, Kiran, for two years.

According to a report in Malaysia Nanban, Prema became increasingly distressed by Kiran’s lack of attention and feared he would not follow through with plans to marry her.

Luring him to her home while her family was away, Prema told Kiran she wanted the two of them to reconcile and promised him “a good time”.

She then persuaded him to let her tie him to a chair, claiming she was reenacting a scene from a Western film.

Once Kiran was fully restrained and unable to escape, Prema doused him with kerosene and set him ablaze.

Kiran died at the scene from his injuries.

Neighbours alerted the authorities of the incident, leading to Prema’s immediate arrest.
