KUALA LUMPUR: The government will focus on three key strategies to address a second wave of the global supply crisis, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof (pic).
The approach includes ensuring sufficient supply of essential goods, extending availability through prudent management and distribution of resources, and curbing price increases through close monitoring and firm action.
The government, he added, had taken early measures and will continue strengthening efforts to ensure the people remain protected as the second wave of the global supply crisis unfolds.
“This strategy is implemented to ensure continued protection for the people as the country adapts to changing global conditions.
“In facing these pressures, the government will not leave the people to bear the burden alone,” he said during a live Global Supply Crisis Briefing broadcast, Bernama reported.
Fadillah said the public is likely to face price adjustments and temporary supply disruptions in the coming period.
However, he said the government remains committed to minimising the impact on the people and will continue managing the changes carefully to keep the effects under control.
