BEIJING: Tengku Datin Sofia Dora Tengku Mohamad’s eyes shines whenever she talks about the Peranakan culture and her impressive collection.

Although she is not a member of the Peranakan community, Tengku Sofia, whose husband Raja Datuk Nushirwan Zainal Abidin is the Malaysian Ambassador to China, is an ardent fan of its unique culture.
