Putting on a great show

Joyous welcome: The lion dance troupe made up of children of the embassy staff greeting guests at the Chinese New Year reception hosted by the Malaysian Embassy in Beijing, China.

BEIJING: A “super junior” lion dance troupe took centre stage at the Chinese New Year reception hosted by the Malaysian Embassy here.

Performed by children of the embassy staff, they formed a pair of the colourful prosperous animal and a big-headed clown. They started practising for the performance about a month ago.
