Dato' Sri Siti Nurhaliza
LOCAL songbird Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza (pic), who is expecting her second child soon, is taking every precautionary measure to ensure both mother and baby are safe, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Siti, who is expected to give birth in four months’ time, said her pregnancy experience with her first child Siti Aafiyah was very different compared to now.
The 42-year-old admitted that she is among those in the high-risk pregnancy category and the Covid-19 pandemic has not made things easier for her.
Siti always puts her safety as the main focus and always ensures she adheres to the SOP.
“During this pandemic, we don’t know who has the virus because some are asymptomatic.
“Apart from senior citizens and children, expectant mothers are also among those in the high-risk category.
“If you ask me about fear and trauma, I do feel that. Doesn’t help that the cases are increasing so this gives me a reason to stay home as much as possible but I still need to go out and work,” she said.
> Actor Ashraf Muslim, who had the opportunity to help flood victims in Temerloh, Pahang, said it was an eye opening and valuable experience for him, Berita Harian reported.
Ashraf, 39, had volunteered with a non-governmental organisation to lend a helping hand to flood victims.
“I was sad to see many homes in the district that were ruined due to the floods. I met a family whose home was so badly damaged that they had to stay with their relatives.
“When I asked, they said they were still waiting for help and hoped that their house will be repaired soon.
“They are not the only family there. Many others had also lost a roof over their heads due to this natural disaster,” said Ashraf.
He hopes the victims will get the necessary help soon so they can rebuild their lives.
