PETALING JAYA: KUALA Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will resume most of its operations from Monday (May 4), following the announcement of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Friday (May 1) to reopen the economy.
In a statement, DBKL noted that services which involved facing members of the public would be conducted in accordance with Health Ministry guidelines as a precautionary measure.
It advised visitors to practise social distancing, wear face masks and use hand sanitisers to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission.
DBKL also said that all applications and renewals for licences for premises, advertisement and business signage licences, composite licenses and entertainment licenses must be submitted online at https://elesen.dbkl.gov.my/
It said the following services will be open to the public:
All DBKL offices
- Payment counters (Housing, Licensing and One-Stop Centre)
- Menara DBKL 1 (7.30am - 4pm)
- Drive-through counters (8.30am - 4pm)
- Menara DBKL 2 (8.30am - 4pm)
- Menara DBKL 3 (9am-3pm)*only from May 5-12
- Licensing counter (Menara DBKL 2) *only through appointment (03-2028 2521/03-2617 6184) from May 6 onwards
One-Stop Centre counter (Menara DBKL 2) (8.30am - 3pm)
Typhoid/Meningitis immunisation services (8.30am - 2pm) from May 5
Public parks *only to individual joggers
Public restrooms under DBKL
The following will remain closed:
- Dataran Merdeka
- Payment counters at DBKL branches
- All facilities at public parks (except public restrooms at parks opened to the public)
- All multipurpose/community halls
- All sports complexes
- The Kuala Lumpur Library, branches and mobile libraries
