Man arrested for raping teen daughter over five years


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting his teenage daughter over several years.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus said police received a report on June 18 from a 41-year-old medical officer after it was discovered that the 17-year-old victim was pregnant.

"Investigations revealed that the victim alleged she had been forced by the suspect, who is her biological father, to engage in sexual acts since she was 12 years old," he said in a statement on Wednesday (June 24).

Comm Fadil said that the suspect was arrested on June 19 and is expected to be charged at the Putrajaya Magistrate's Court on Thursday (June 25).
