PETALING JAYA: The UPUOnline application for university entrance has been extended to April 7, in light of the movement control order (MCO).

Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Noraini Ahmad said on Wednesday (March 25) that the decision was made after they received complaints from Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) school-leavers who faced difficulty accessing the Internet to apply.

“The ministry has agreed to extend the closing date for admissions into public universities through UPUOnline from March 31 to April 7 at 11:59 pm.

“This extension is only for SPM school-leavers, as there are no changes to the application deadline for applicants with STPM and/or matriculation equivalent qualification, ” she said in a statement.

The last day for candidates to purchase their UNIK pins from BSN, she said, was April 6.

For updates or questions, you go to see UPU’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/UPUonlineBPKPJPT/ or watch their Facebook Live which will be held daily from March 23 to 27, at 10 am and 3 pm.

“Our officers are ready to answer any questions during Facebook Live, ” she added.
