Safety checks in place on sale of power banks


PUTRAJAYA: Soon, only power banks bearing Sirim and Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consume­rism Ministry safety labels will be allowed on store shelves.

This is among the requirements under the new 2018 Safety Standards Compliance Guidelines for secondary batteries that come into effect on Feb 1.
