Upin & Ipin are now Unicef Malaysia's ambassadors for children


KUALA LUMPUR: Popular animated characters Upin & Ipin have been chosen by the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef) Malaysia as national ambassadors for children.

Unicef representative to Malaysia Wivina Belmonte said that the popularity of the two would help to champion the rights and well-being of children, as well as instilling respect towards girls and women.
