High achiever Nur Amalina’s status queried

THE academic performance of Nur Amalina Che Bakri, who scored 17 A1s in the SPM examination in 2005, was the centre of discussions during the Budget debate on allocations for the Higher Edu­cation Ministry.

Zulkifli Noordin (PKR — Kulim Bandar Baru) asked Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Sai­fuddin Abdullah whether it was true that Nur Amalina, who is stu­dying at the University of Edin­burgh in Scotland, had failed the medical course she was pursuing.
