Tree falls on four vehicles in Selayang

PETALING JAYA: A tree fell onto four vehicles and blocked a road in Selayang during a thunderstorm here but no injuries were reported.

The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department said the incident occurred on Jalan Prima Selayang 7, near Apartment Sri Selayang.

Assistant director (operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a distress call came in 4.18pm on Monday (April 20) and a team from the Selayang fire station arrived at the scene seven minutes later.

"The operations commander confirmed a tree had fallen on the road, obstructing traffic.

"Branches from the tree also hit four parked cars," he said in a statement on Monday.

He added that no one was injured and no structural damage to buildings was reported.

Firemen cut and cleared the tree and ensured the road was safe for public use.
