Body found wrapped in canvas sheet in Pulau Angsa


PETALING JAYA: A foul odour led to the discovery of a decomposed body wrapped in a canvas sheet and tied up with rope in Pulau Angsa, Kuala Selangor.

Kuala Selangor OCPD Supt Azaharudin Tajudin said police were alerted to the body on Saturday (April 19) after the smell was reported.

"Upon arrival, police found the tied-up body of a man," he said in a statement on Monday (April 20).

A post-mortem examination determined that the victim was strangled to death.

The victim has yet to be identified.

Police are investigating the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
