KUALA LUMPUR: Watsons Malaysia unveiled Watsons Ganjaran Raksasa, its biggest ever member rewards campaign, setting a new milestone by breaking the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) for the Highest Rewards Value in a loyalty programme in Malaysia, with over RM10mil worth of W Rewards dedicated exclusively to its members.

“Ganjaran Raksasa,” which means Giant Rewards, represents something big, a fitting symbol of Watsons’ commitment to rewarding its growing community of more than eight million Watsons’ Club members nationwide,” said Watsons Malaysia managing director and A.S. Watson Group Health and Beauty Asia chief operating officer Caryn Loh.

“At the heart of the campaign are W Rewards, which allow members to earn and redeem points to save more on rewards across dining, travel, lifestyle, health, beauty experiences and more, making Watsons Club not just a membership but a lifestyle rewards platform.”

Loh said: “Since the launch of Watsons Club membership in 2010, Watsons Club has grown alongside our members and evolved into a lifestyle rewards ecosystem.

“This year, Watsons Ganjaran Raksasa brings loyalty to life by delivering over RM10mil in W Rewards across over 150 brand partners.

“By continuously strengthening the Watsons Club ecosystem, we are building a sustainable rewards platform that drives engagement. We are also proud to once again break the MBR, reaffirming our commitment to rewarding members at scale while creating shared value for our partners.”

Through W Rewards, Watsons members enjoy exclusive savings, earn points on every purchase and redeem attractive rewards from as little as 10 Watsons points, reinforcing Watsons’ focus on delivering accessible, everyday value. Members can maximise their rewards by using W Rewards points as instant discounts to offset purchases both in-store and online. Selected products can also be redeemed directly in-store with minimal points, allowing members to enjoy immediate benefits seamlessly while shopping.

In addition to the record-breaking rewards, Watsons Malaysia continues to expand its membership club to better serve diverse lifestyles and life stages. Leading this effort is the newly introduced Watsons Student Club, specifically designed to support young customers aged 21 and under, offering greater savings and rewards tailored to their needs. Members can enjoy 10 times the points every Tuesday on their first purchase of the day, allowing students to maximise their rewards while enjoying their favourite health and beauty products.

Building on this, Watsons also continues the success of initiatives such as the Watsons 45+ Club and Watsons Mum’s Club, catering to the unique needs of more mature customers and mothers respectively, ensuring that every stage of life is supported.

Loh added, “For 16 years, we have been continuously evolving the programme to stay relevant to our members at every stage of their lives.

“We truly value the loyalty of customers who have been with us over the years and the Watsons Student Club is another step in the hope of engaging them early and building lifelong relationships with the next generation of Watsons members.”

During this campaign period, customers can sign up as new* Watsons Club members to enjoy a RM5 Watsons brand voucher, a limited edition “Ganjaran Raksasa” Giant Bag and a card pack of online and offline vouchers worth up to RM300.

Other than that, members get to enjoy benefits such as two times points on Watsons brand products, five times points during their birthday month and One Pass privileges. Members also enjoy exclusive deals, such as an extra 10% off from Monday to Wednesday, as well as online specials.

The Watsons Club points can be accumulated and redeemed for cash value on future purchases, with every 200 points equivalent to RM1, making everyday spending more rewarding.

To celebrate this milestone, Watsons Malaysia will host a special “Ganjaran Raksasa” activation from now to April 19, running daily from 10am to 10pm at Lot 10 Premier Terrace, Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. Shoppers and members are invited to experience Watsons’ massive rewards ecosystem firsthand, where Watsons Club members can play fun games using their points and earn points, exploring exclusive W Rewards offerings simply by downloading and showing the Watsons App.

As part of the campaign, shoppers can enjoy 60% off the second product and exclusive member prices until April 22. The “Ganjaran Raksasa” campaign is available nationwide at all Watsons stores and on the Watsons App.
