Diploma in Computer Science student Hendre Chew Han Li said the programme gave him the opportunity to study abroad in Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia.
Calling it the “most rewarding experiences of my life”, he said the experience allowed him to immerse himself in a new culture and connect with people from diverse backgrounds, making him more open-minded, adaptable and independent.
“Living in a different country challenged me to step outside my comfort zone, build confidence, and strengthen my communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills – qualities that will serve me well throughout my career,” he said.
“Throughout this journey, Peninsula College Georgetown provided unwavering support, guiding me through every stage of the application process and ensuring I was well prepared before my departure.
“The knowledge, friendships, and unforgettable memories I gained are truly invaluable and will stay with me for a lifetime.”
While BSC (Hons) Maritime Business and Logistics student Jovial Bong Quan Ming from Class of 2023 opined, “Participating in the Erasmus+ mobility programme at WSG University in Poland was a transformative experience that profoundly shaped both my personal and professional growth experience that strengthened my adaptability, resilience and independence.
“Beyond gaining academic insights across logistics, engineering, and tourism, I embraced new cultures, stepped outside my comfort zone, and developed the confidence to thrive in an international environment.
“The experience has better prepared me for a global career in logistics and to also thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.”
The college’s international marketing executive Lim Sian Ching who participated in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Programme at Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania said the experience “was truly enriching”.
“It allowed me to connect with global academics, exchange ideas, and deepen my understanding of international collaboration,” Lim added.
“As an International Marketing professional, the experience strengthened my skills in global partnerships and cross-cultural engagement, which will support my role in building stronger collaborations for Peninsula College Georgetown.
“It has broadened my global perspective and created memories I will always cherish.”
Accountancy and Tourism lecturer Nurul Nadia Mohamad from the college’s School of Business represented Malaysia at the 10th International Erasmus+ Week under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching programme also went to Lucian Blaga University said, “It was an honour to share Malaysia’s tourism expertise while learning from educators around the world.
“The exchange of ideas reaffirmed that education has the power to connect cultures and inspire meaningful collaboration.”
