KUALA LUMPUR: Two companies have sued veteran singer Datuk DJ Dave, his son and their company allegedly for the unlawful use of their ideas in the light-and-sound spectacular of the 50th Merdeka eve celebration yesterday.
Symphony Light & Sound Services Sdn Bhd and Carlson White (M) Sdn Bhd are seeking an injunction to stop the singer-turn-businessman whose Muslim name is Irwan Shah Abdullah, 59, his son Shazdarween Dave, 25, and Shahdave Holdings Sdn Bhd from using and exploiting the ideas further.
