“I wish to express my gratitude to my family members. They have always been with me through thick and thin. I am thankful to my mother for bringing me into this world. I am beyond blessed to have grown up in a family full of love and happiness. Thanks to my parents, I can live comfortably without worry about food and clothing, and I am equipped with moral values which will guide me through life. I do not think I would have made it this far without them.”

“My trials and tribulations have moulded me into the person I am today, and I am grateful for it. They are all lessons for me to learn from. Bad situations, for example, made me a more determined and resilient person. My 10-year-old self never would have imagined that I could face adversities head-on.”

“I am thankful for the right to education. With education, we are taught not only knowledge, but also virtues to create a better society. I feel a greater sense of social security when more people receive education and are employed. I am also thankful to have supportive teachers and friends. When I feel down, my friends are always the ones who cheer me up. Their friendship has made my student life more meaningful and memorable.”

“I am grateful to have discovered a shopping app during the Covid-19 pandemic. It helps me to save lots of time as I do not need to leave my house just to get groceries, or search from shop to shop just for a rare item. In addition, it helps me to save money. I have bought many products with prices much lower than the market average, and had them delivered to my doorstep. It also allows me to compare prices of the same products in different shops with just the click of a button so I can always find the best deals.”

– Chong Wei Ying, 18
