THERE will be 37 designated Ramadan bazaar locations in Kuala Lumpur next year.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa said DBKL conducted a post-mortem of the 2025 Ramadan and Aidilfitri bazaars in June.
“The findings will be used to refine the 2026 execution, taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of the 2025 implementation,” she said after a site visit to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman on Sunday (Nov 30).
In addition to the Ramadan bazaars, there will be two Aidilfitri Bazaar locations, bringing the total to 39 locations with an estimated 3,500 lots.
Last year, Dr Zaliha directed DBKL to take over the management and allocation of all bazaars after repeated disputes over lot distribution.
