Comedian Ajak Shiro brings restaurant chain to Melaka

MELAKA: Popular radio host and comedian Ajak Shiro has made his debut in the food and beverage scene here with the opening of his first restaurant in the historic city.

Ajak, whose real name is Hanaffi Razak, is the founder of Bumbu Babah, a modern Nusantara-style restaurant brand which officially opened its first outlet in the state at Jalan Hang Tuah, here on Friday (Nov 1).

The opening of the restaurant was officiated by Melaka Speaker Datuk Ibrahim Durum.

The new outlet is a collaboration between local company Analynsda Holdings and Babah Ventures, which operates the Bumbu Babah Selebriti Ajak Shiro restaurant chain.

Ajak said the expansion marks an important milestone for the brand while supporting the state's economic development agenda through the involvement of local entrepreneurs.

"We are honoured to launch our first outlet in Melaka through close cooperation with local entrepreneurs.

"This initiative is not merely about expanding our business operations but also about creating employment opportunities and contributing to the state’s economic growth,” he said when interviewed on Sunday (November 2).

Ajak said Bumbu Babah operates 34 outlets nationwide, with a strong focus on elevating local flavours through a solid franchise network.

“All dishes are prepared from a central kitchen by adhering to high food quality and hygiene standards,” Ajak added.
