The Butcher’s Table newest restaurant at Faber Towers, Taman Desa features glasshouse-inspired design, lush greenery and modern, airy setting, creating a warm yet contemporary space
A LOCAL brand specialising in cured meats and artisanal sausages has opened its fifth store at Faber Towers in Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur.
This is the third The Butcher’s Table store in the Klang Valley. It has one store each in Ipoh (Perak) and Bukit Mertajam (Penang).
Founded in 2017, The Butcher’s Table is a culmination of over 30 years’ experience and passion passed down from Ho Kim Loon, a master butcher trained in traditional European techniques.
His early career saw him deboning over 200kg of meat daily and mastering the craft of making sausages, ham and bacon.
In the early 1990s, he opened the iconic Mr Ho’s Fine Foods in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, laying the foundation for what would eventually become a family-run business.
Today, The Butcher’s Table is helmed by his children, Kent and Tiffany.
“From the beginning, we’ve always believed in quality over short cuts and scale,” said the Ho family.
“Our expansion to Taman Desa is a continuation of the values we built this brand on – using only quality cuts, preparing everything by hand, honouring the recipes we believe in and creating spaces that feel like home, where people can gather over honest, hearty food.”
The Butcher’s Table is celebrated for its commitment to quality, offering nitrate-free sausages and premium-cured meats.
The team uses only fresh herbs, natural casings and high-quality meats for sausages that are free from fillers or artificial additives.
Signature dishes include the Crispy Siew Yoke with its crackling and pork belly, the Farmer’s Bratwurst and the house speciality – the indulgent Tomapork, a 600g cut that consists of rib, loin and belly cut.
“Whether it’s sourcing our cuts, seasoning by hand or staying true to our recipes, we do not compromise – quality comes first,” said the family.
The Butcher’s Table’s newest shop features glasshouse-inspired design, lush greenery and modern, airy setting, creating a warm yet contemporary space that sets it apart from the other locations.
