Mydin organises the 'Jom Durian' programme, offering T20 quality at B40 prices

MYDIN Mohamed Holdings Berhad (Mydin) is organising the 'Jom Durian' program in collaboration with Agro Best Services, Children's Wish Society of Malaysia, and MAE by Maybank2u.

The program gives the public the opportunity to enjoy a tray of durian for as low as RM100 for 4kg of durian pulp.

The program is organised in conjunction with the OhMydin Festival! campaign which was launched on Aug 24.

The campaign aims to offer savings, contests and interesting activities in conjunction with Mydin's 67th Anniversary Celebration.

A total of two locations are involved in the Jom Durian program, namely Mydin Bukit Mertajam (Penang ) on Sep 7 and Mydin Pelangi Indah (Johor) on Oct 5.

“A sum of the program's fundraising collections will be donated to the Children's Wish Society of Malaysia,” said Mydin's managing director, Datuk Wira Dr Ameer Ali Mydin, in a press statement.

A total of RM8,000 from Saturday’s collection were donated to the society.

“We want to offer savings to the public so that all groups can enjoy quality durian, including Musang King, D24, XO, Udang Merah, and D101, at an affordable price,” he said.

“We already know that traders usually make buffets for individuals at a price of more than RM50 per person, but Mydin offers a tray of durian at prices starting from RM100 to RM160 that the whole family can enjoy," he added.

Throughout this campaign, which runs until Nov 11, Mydin offers various savings, contests, and promotions worth a total of RM6.7mil.

The public can visit Mydin Malaysia's official social media page to get more information about the OhMydin Festival! campaign.

The event was opened by Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman Datuk Yeoh Soon Hin.

Also present were Penang state executive councillor Fahmi Zainol, Mydin northern region managing director Datuk Dr Saduruddin Gulam Hussain and its executive director Azmin Saduruddin.
