Foreigners to be charged RM1 per GoKL bus trip

KUALA LUMPUR: Starting Jan 1, 2024, foreigners using GoKL bus services will need to pay RM1 per trip.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said in a statement that the charges will be implemented in stages for the four GoKL bus routes, namely Green, Purple, Red and Blue.

"Foreigners will need to use cashless payment with the Touch n' Go (TNG) card, QR code, credit card or debit card.

"Local passengers will need to first register their Mykad that is equipped with the TNG system to enjoy the ride for free.

"Children aged 12 and below can ride for free," said DBKL.

Malaysians who wish to register their MyKad can do so at the KLCC bus stop, Titiwangsa (Pekeliling) final stop and Pasar Seni final stop from 7am to noon and 2pm to 7pm.

They can also register at the Menara DBKL 1 lobby every Wednesday from 9am to 4pm.
