Catch the Pokemon Truck to play the new Pokemon Pokopia Game

The Pokemon Truck will be travelling across Klang Valley throughout March to June. — Handout

Colourful and eye-catching, especially with its 20ft-tall LED screen, the Pokemon Truck is hard to miss.

This certainly makes it easy for fans to spot the truck as it travels to Kuala Lumpur, Cheras, Petaling Jaya, Shah Alam, Puchong, Ampang, Bukit Jalil, Kepong, Subang and Damansara to promote the new Nintendo Switch 2 game, Pokemon Pokopia

The truck is part of the campaign “Play Pokemon Pokopia Game with Pokemon Truck at Your Town!”, which kicked off on March 5 at Sunway Pyramid in Selangor.

During the campaign period (until June 4), every Tuesday to Thursday, the truck will circulate within city areas.

Meanwhile, every Friday to Sunday, it will anchor at selected locations from 10am to 10pm. It is currently stationed at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur until March 15.

The following weekends it will be in two Selangor locations: Pavilion Bukit Jalil (March 20-22) and Elmina Lakeside Mall (March 27-29).

Other locations have yet to be revealed. Fans can visit facebook.com/PokemonMalaysia/ to keep track of the truck’s schedule.

The Pokemon Truck features four game stations, each comprising a Nintendo Switch 2 console, Pokemon Pokopia board panel and operation panel. Here, fans can comfortably play the life simulation game.

Outside the truck is a lively event area where visitors can enjoy other activities while waiting for their turn to play the game. These include a colouring zone, a photo zone and a Nintendo Switch 2 game zone, where visitors can try their hand at other games offered by Nintendo.

Selected weekend sessions may also feature special Pikachu mascot appearances.

As Pokemon celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, fans can expect more Pokemon-themed activities to be held in Malaysia throughout the year.
