Ringing in Year of the Horse with festive buffets, set meals


Toss to joy and prosperity at Yue, Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel.

A hotel in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, is embracing the spirit of togetherness this Lunar New Year with a lineup of bountiful menus.

Sheraton Petaling Jaya Hotel’s Yue Chinese restaurant offers a selection of festive sets, each starting off with yee sang.

Yee sang topping options include deep-fried soft shell crab with fish roe, Atlantic salmon with snow pear and Atlantic salmon with 10-head abalone.

They are priced from RM150+ for a small portion and from RM238+ for a large portion.

Two 10-course meals are available for groups of 10 priced at RM2,388+ and RM2,988+.

There are also two types of nine-course sets for smaller groups, with a minimum of two diners per order, at RM268+ and RM298+ per person.

A vegetarian set is available, which includes vegetarian yee sang.

Depending on the menu, featured dishes include Braised Cordyceps Flower with Pan-fried Fish Maw and Black Truffle, Steamed Soon Hock Fish, Superior Broth Abalone and Black Chicken Teapot Soup, Braised Whole Abalone with Roasted Duck with Arrowhead and Sea Moss, Stir-fried Tiger Prawns with Lemongrass and Kaffir Lime Leaves.

At Feast, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant, live carving stations complete the seasonal Chinese New Year offering.

Highlights include Barbecue Pulled Lamb Mantau, Kam Heong Seafood Shellout, Roasted Chicken and Duck, Durian Tempura and Durian Spring Rolls.

The Lunar New Year Buffet Lunch until Feb 15 is priced at RM118+ while the Lunar New Year Buffet Dinner is RM138+.

On Feb 16, the Reunion Buffet Lunch is RM138+ and Reunion Buffet Dinner is RM188+.

The Lunar New Year’s Day Buffet Lunch on Feb 17 and 18 is priced at RM128+ while the Lunar New Year’s Day Buffet Dinner is RM158+.
